What's your 5-year Guarantee?

We optimize our watches for maximum durability, and that’s why we  only use the very best material we can get our hands on. We also want to meet your needs and give you the best support possible.

We guarantee and cover all manufacturing defects and all internal workings of all watches. If internal workings of the watch have been accessed by someone that’s not from the Dakota Team, our guarantee might not be valid.

Crystals are normally not included in our warranty. They are impact resistant, but not impact-proof. If crystal got shipped to you broken, we will cover. Beyond that we will work with you on replacing parts.

How long does the battery last? If I ever need to replace my battery, how do I go about that?

We guarantee your first battery, if you ever need to replace it. The process to do that is simple, ship it to us or take it to one of our stores. 

Most of our movements are optimized to run the 5-year cycle on one charge. Mechanisms are tuned to the use of the watch.

When will my order ship? How long will it take to arrive?

Please allow 2-4 days for processing and usual times sipping times from the USPS or UPS: inside the US you can expect to see your package between 3-6 days.

What are your returns and refunds policy?

Our number one priority is for you to be happy with your new watch. If that’s not the case, let us know and we will make it right. 

Try it on, go show it off, make sure it’s perfect on you.  But please make sure, if you would like to return your watch, we can only accept undamaged items. We will ask for a photo so our customer service reps can assist you the best way possible.

How do I keep my Dakota Clip in the best condition?

With most watches there's not much to do here. Water resistance watches are low maintenance and easy to clean.

    Tough Enough for Military Use

    I keep this attached to my belt loop since I can't have anything around my wrist while operating most of my equipment. I was worried that the buttons bulging from the sides would depress for anything, but to my surprise every time I check the time, no matter what position I find myself in, it's always displaying the time. I don't frequently use the alarm or stopwatch features, but I have used them and it functions as designed. Compass works well enough if you actually need it. Only feedback I would offer it to make the carabiner clip just slightly bigger and offer more color options like Army Green or Coyote Brown.

    Great product

    So I have had several clip watches over the years and even two in the last year that have failed. I purchased the Dakota watch because I have another watch from Dakota that I had purchased years ago. From my previous experience with them I am looking forward to having this watch last for years. It does everything I would like with the stopwatch and timer and alarm. I am quite pleased with this clip watch! :-)

    Clear and easy to read

    So to start out this review the watch does what I want which is tell time but not be wrist mounted. My work does not allow phones on the sales floor so I need a watch but I have tendonitis so this worked perfectly. My only issue was when I received the watch it had a dead battery. Thankfully my friend knew how to get the watch open and replaced it. So good watch, just a bit annoyed at first by the battery being dead.

    The perfect work watch!

    This is great for driving and operating equipment jobs. Clip it on the front belt loop and you can glance at the time from your lap. Large visible numbers, dual time when going through time zones, just the right illumination for night time operating; an alarm for when I layover and a timer for when I workout. Very sturdy alloy casing and the silver shows better against clothing. Mine did come with an instruction sheet, with very simple to follow guidelines. The compass isn't much help, but still looks cool (I like it) and I was able to purchase it for a lot less here than at Herrington. Very happy with my purchase.
